Nobody Epic: August 2019

Ayrlyn walked in the endless void with no sense of direction. In this place that time forgot there was nothing. Time and space had no meaning here. She walked toward the one object she could fix her eyes on in the everdark. I figure stood there the distance. She could here a low hum as she grew closer. After what seemed like hours she could make out the red dress the figure wore their long blonde haired flowing wildly in the wind that had no source.

Ayrlyn tried to make out the face of the woman. She took a step closer and rain started to fall. Ever so slightly. With each step it grew heavier and heavier. It seeped into her skin and wounds chilling her to the bone. She grimaced as her body barely responded. She heard a voice.

Sorrow . . . .

She pressed on heading closer to the girl. She was a child of the Sun that much she could tell, but her eyes those eyes! They burned a bright orange like twin suns. A sunsinger, Nicci had told her of them. She had been the last of their kind. She would never use the power. Arylyn have never seen her use this form. Nicci told Ayrlyn she never would not even to save her own life.

Could it be her? She wondered as she grew ever closer the wind bit and tore at her skin. Ayrlyn stumbled as the wind grew fiercer and fiercer. She could here it's silent screaming.

Pain . . . . .

The red dress was adorned with gold and jewels they sparkled in the night. It was the same dress Nicci wore when Ayrlyn first met her. It had to be her she couldn't be mistaken. The swirling vortex of a storm grew in ferocity. See what she has seen The wraiths words echoed in Ayrlyn's head. She walked forward with a purpose even as the storm slowly tearing at her body. The lightning and thunder crackled around her. Momentarily blinded she shielded her eyes. She couldn't stop now

Anger . . . .

The storm beat against her body. It threatened to tear it apart. She struggled to even budge even an inch. Almost as an invisible force held her back.

Ayrlyn took another step and lifted her voice in song faint at first in the storm

Ayrlyn lifted her head now face to face with her and gazed into Nicci's eyes. they burned with the fire of one thousand suns. They pierced the depths of her very soul. Her dress was torn and ragged. The jewelry broken and twisted. Scars ran up and down her body. A broken tiara hung in her hair. Tears flow from her eyes endlessly. Nicci's face was contorted into a mixture of fear, pain and anger.

Ayrlyn slowly sank to her knee her body spent and beginning to fade as the storm tore it apart. She gazed up into Nicci's eyes. She raised her working arm up with an upturned palm. Ayrlyn spoke her soul laid before her

Grant me this one last chance to make things right

Ayrlyn bowed her head. Nicci's eyes flickered for a moment her hair sank down from the unseen wind. She gazed at Ayrlyn's bowed head. Her burning orbs then turned to Aylyns hand.
